π’ Speakers & Talks
β’ Talk #1: War stories of scaling Supabase's Realtime
Speaker: Filipe CabaΓ§o β Senior Software Engineer @ Supabase
Using Supabase Realtime as an example we will be doing a deep dive into what breaks, how to detect it and the mitigations of scaling a globally connected Elixir application for realtime applications in a showcase of how powerful Elixir and the ecosystem is when it comes to create complex services.
β’ Talk #2: Building Modern Apps with Phoenix and TanStack DB
Speaker: Valter Balegas β Co-Founder & CTO @ ElectricSQL
Sync engines are the secret sauce behind lightning-fast, collaborative apps with great user experience, like Figma and Linear. While adopting a sync engine might sound like a paradigm shift, if you're building a Phoenix app with Postgres you can start using sync today.
In this talk I'll show you how to build apps using Phoenix.Sync, a library that brings real-time sync to Phoenix, and TanStack DB, a client-side embedded database that will make you forget about state transfer.

Details of the live-stream will be posted as comment in this event on the day of the event π
Take the opportunity to mingle, network and share experiences! Last but not least, please keep submitting your talks for future editions of this meetup! Send us a message via the Kommunity meet-up platform or open an issue on this repo.
